19th International Defence Industry Salon MSPO 2011

During the days of 05-08.09.2011 the Wojskowe Zakłady Motoryzacyjne S.A. company has participated in the 19th International Defence Industry Salon MSPO 2011.
During the trade fair the following products were presented:
•    Technical Reconnaissance Vehicle ROSOMAK WRT (in cooperation with the Wojskowe Zakłady Mechaniczne S.A. Siemianowice Śląskie).
•    LANCE RC remote operated turret system (in cooperation with z Rheinmetall Defence).

Particular attention of the visitors was paid to the ROSOMAK WRT Technical Reconnaissance Vehicle.  The Technical Reconnaissance Vehicle is a wheeled armoured personnel carrier intended to support the combat actions of subunits equipped with ROSOMAK KTO 8x8.
    The vehicle crew consists of a repair team, composed of:
•    commander;
•    driver – operator;
•    two mechanics.
The vehicle has a modular construction, and its special design enables rapid exchange of individual systems and assemblies. The high power coefficient ensures the high speed and good manoeuvrability of the vehicle, also in difficult terrain. The armoured steel shell hull ensures ballistic protection, and its protection level is increased by a removable additional armouring system. ROSOMAK WRT was equipped with a Remote Control Weapon Module with a 7.62 mm machine gun, enabling the crew to conduct combat operations. The adopted design solutions of the module aiming instruments, through the use of a day view camera and an infrared camera enables the crew to efficiently fire upon enemy targets day and night. The vehicle is adapted to rail, marine and air transport. WRT KTO fulfils the most stringent requirements of modern battlefield.

The LANCE RC remote operated turret system has made a very high impression on the visitors. The LANCE RC system is derived from the crewed Lance turret. Due to its small dimensions and low weight it may be mounted on various platforms, including relatively lightweight wheeled vehicles, such as KTO ROSOMAK. The modular turret concept is an ideal fit to the needs of the Polish armed forces. The LANCE RC remote operated turret system has a stabilised 30-mm automatic gun MK30-2/ABM, which enables firing upon moving targets with high precision and effectiveness. The modern MK30-2/ABM gun is designed to use both standard and recently invented cutting edge ammunition and ensures maximum efficiency against both airborne and ground targets. The gun can shoot with an elevation of 10 to +60 degrees.  The LANCE RC turret system enables the gun to be loaded without requiring the crew to leave the combat compartment.
